Indiebookpromos (IBP) is a collection of 4 websites that are dedicated to exposing authors and book bloggers. They were built by four wonderful ladies: Rachel Thompson (yes the Queen of Twitter Rachel), Barb from Sugarbeat Books, Babs from Babs Book Bistro, and Loren from LK Editorial.
These sites are dedicated to exposing authors and giving them a place for dirt cheap advertising (rates from $8 to $50), but the exposure is not cheap–you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck. If anyone knows anything about paid advertising, it’s difficult to grasp at first and it can be expensive.
All four sites are SEO/SMO and highly optimized, so they rank high on search engines as well as being backed by ads from Google Adwords.
Not only that there are wonderful Monday educational posts with free content, low cost webinars available to teach you different marketing techniques that are essential: working WordPress, Basic Twitter, Amazon Optimization, and many more!
There is also a monthly newsletter, and be sure to subscribe by email to keep an eye out for new books and authors!
I am also adding details on deals the sites are having that I sniffed out. I’m always a sucker for a good deal!
How Does Exposure Work?
The Post: The author will choose from these options for a post: an interview (questions provided), excerpt feature, publicity blurb, or a guest post. Regardless of option, IBP will display your author bio, photo, book buy links, and social media links. The post is then distributed out to multiple social media channels such as Google+, Facebook, Twitter, Triberr, StumbleUpon, etc.
Sidebar Ads: Your book(s) cover art will display in the blog(s) (if you are featured on more than one) sidebars. You can display one or more books there. IBP will link to your Amazon or other listing of choice from the ad.
Pages: With certain package purchases you will receive placement on the “Cool Authors” and/or “Featured Authors” pages.
The more authors that are exposed help the authors and IBP–which is the idea, isn’t it? IBP works with the authors during their promotion blast, so everyone wins!
Other Notable Stuff
Cheap Reads: If your ebook is $2.99 or less, you can list it for people to find. Very handy!
Free Days Listings: Have a book going free soon? List your book here to find readers or others who you may want to cross promote with!
Book Blogger Friday: IBP is as dedicated to exposing bloggers as much as authors! Two of the founders are book bloggers, so they know what it means for authors and readers to find them as well as help them drive traffic to their sites. Book bloggers are featured on all four of the websites for ultimate exposure!
Here is all four of the sites and the group of authors that they specialize in as well as were to email them!
Indiebookpromo is for indie authors–any genre or age group. They feature just about anything from nonfiction to erotica–anything.
To submit email at firstname.lastname@example.org for submissions or other information. To find them on Twitter or other social media visit their homepage.
Don’t let the name fool you! Middle Grade (MG) and children’s authors are welcome, too. So basically this is the site for young readers–any genre. So now authors for young audiences have their own site. How neat is that?
For submissions and other information email at email@example.com.
Red-hot Deal Alert: YAPC has a special for 1/2 off their promotion packages’ list prices! Have a wonderful story for a young reader you would like for parents to find for their kids or teens to fill up that new kindle or find good physical books? Take advantage of this smokin’ hot deal! Make those new releases or free days really count! Booking dates start now! Get them while you can! Offer ends Jan 2013!
The equivalent to IBP for traditionally published or small press authors. They need a place for exposure and love too! Now there is help for them when their publishers aren’t helping them.
For submission and info: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ultra killer deal: BPC is offering FREE promotion! Booking is also immediately! Get the word out about your book for the Christmas season!
Romance Promo central is specialized for romance and erotica books. Yes erotica books are welcome here when many sites will not feature them. Romance is such a popular genre, so I guess IBP felt that it needed it to have it’s own site.
For submissions and info: email@example.com
Awesome Deal Alert: RPC is also having a Christmas 1/2 off special! However, they’re not booking dates until December or Jan 2013, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your spots now! These spots will disappear, so hurry!
That’s about it. Be sure to check them out!
