The Fussy Librarian is a new free resource that helps pair readers and authors together. The program began around Sept 2013 and launched in Oct. It’s still a brand new, but it’s something worth checking out. This has the capacity to grow and become a very cool thing. It is noted that it is subject to change if it will remain free or not.
Readers and authors sign up for free. Readers tell them what their reading preferences are and authors put in what genre their books are plus a lot of other demographics.
However, it is noted that there are quality checks in place here. There are minimum requirements for rating and # of reviews. Authors: play fair and don’t cheat! It’s like Digital Book Today meets BookBub, but at the smaller stage and without the price tag.
I found out about this site on Twitter during the initial signup stage. It’s undergoing some growing pains and changes right now, but who doesn’t at start up?
Just like any site there is no guarantee of whose book will do better or if yours will do well. It’s a chance to be exposed to readers.
Check it out!
