The Newbie Author’s Survival Guide is the cornerstone this blog is built around, and now it’s finally here! As the name states, it is mostly for newbie and aspiring authors, but others who think they can benefit can give it a whirl. This is the sort of thing that I needed when I started out, but it didn’t exist. There were people out there to help me, but I had to find them and the tools, resources, and information. It took me two years of proverbial bushwhacking and hunting to find this stuff and now I wish to “pass on what I have learned” and share it with others.
It is a jungle out here in the bush of the marketing wilderness.
Everyone knows or will find out that marketing is the most brutal and most difficult part of the publishing process. It is also the longest road for most unless you win the publishing lottery. How often does that happen? I also say marketing has an 85-88º incline (90º is a cliff), and I’ve had to climb or descend hills that steep on a hike, and it is hard!
It is basically “Survivorman for Book Marketing” to sum it up in a few words.
